Nest Hostel is located in Costa Rica, surrounded by tropical landscapes and beaches, designed as a social hub for young travelers and backpackers looking for adventure, community, and relaxation.
The main problem was that the brand didn’t capture the spirit of Costa Rica. The visuals felt generic and disconnected, missing the tropical vibe, the energy, and the warmth that guests actually experienced there. Because of that, the hostel wasn’t standing out online or building excitement before travelers arrived
Solution
I repositioned and redesigned the brand to reflect Costa Rica’s tropical vibe with greens, yellows, and bold, youthful typography. Most competitors in the area looked cheap and generic, focusing only on low prices. After researching what travelers actually valued.
energy, warmth, and a sense of place, it was clear that highlighting Nest Hostel as a lively, social, tropical destination was the strongest positioning. The new identity and playful tone made the hostel stand out from competitors and connect with guests before they even arrived.
